Cantor’s Driving School offers driver training packages – bundles of our most popular services that help you save money while purchasing top quality defensive driver training.
Cantor’s Driving School gives private, one-on-one, on-the-road driving lessons 7 days a week. Door-to-door service is provided – we pick you up and we drop you off at your school, work, house or apartment.

All Students of Any Age Must Have a Valid Arizona Instruction (Learner’s) Permit or Valid Arizona Driver’s License for Any Lessons or Package. No Exceptions. This is Arizona state law.

Due to high demand, our driving school has become the top-rated choice in the Phoenix and Tucson metropolitan areas. After-school and weekend driving lessons are usually booked four to six weeks in advance, but cancellations do occur, creating openings for lessons. For the most current availability, please call our office Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 480-482-1900 or check our online scheduling system. You’ll need to select a training package and create an account to view the openings, after which you can purchase your preferred package. Additionally, instructor calendars for November 2026 will be available starting September 8th, 2026, as we typically release schedules two to three months in advance.

ADOT Authorized
Cantor’s Driving School is authorized by the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) Motor Vehicles Division (MVD) to provide Driving Lessons and is a 3rd party contractor to Administer Final Evaluations and Issue Road Test Waivers.
Policies
These policies apply to driver training services offered by Cantor’s Driving School. By using our services, you are accepting these terms and conditions. Please read our policies.
Package Payment Policy: All packages require full payment for the entire package before scheduling. You can register, pay and schedule online, or call our office (480-482-1900) during office hours to pay, register and schedule over the phone if you prefer.
Refund Policy: If a refund is requested after lessons or packages are purchased, there is a $40 administrative fee to process the refund. No refunds are issued after one year from the date of purchase.
Lessons Cancellation: 48 hours notice is required to cancel a driving lesson without penalty. Driving lessons are conducted in rain/inclement weather. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice for any reason, including weather, there will be a $90 charge for rescheduling.
Lateness Policy: If you arrive late for your driving lesson, the session will still conclude at the originally scheduled time. Unfortunately, any lost time will not be made up, as we adhere to a strict schedule to accommodate all clients. Please ensure you arrive on time to make the most of your lesson.
No-Show Policy: The instructor will wait for 15 to 20 minutes for your scheduled lesson. If you do not arrive within this time frame, the lesson will be marked as a no-show. In this case, you will incur a $150 charge for rescheduling, or the lesson will be forfeited altogether. To avoid these penalties, please make every effort to arrive on time.
Permit/License Requirements: If a student does not have a valid Arizona Learner’s Permit, Driver’s License, or International License during their scheduled driving lesson, the lesson cannot take place. In this scenario, the student will be charged a $150 fee to reschedule the lesson, or they will forfeit the lesson entirely.
Impaired Policy: If the instructor determines that a student is under the influence of drugs, highly medicated, or alcohol, and believes it is unsafe to proceed with the lesson, they will stop the lesson immediately. In this case, the lesson will be considered a complete forfeit.
Certificate of Completion: After 4 lessons/10 hours of behind-the-wheel driving lessons are completed, Cantor’s Driving School will issue a Certificate of Completion. This may be helpful with car insurance; check with your provider.
Please Note: Late cancellations or lessons cancelled due to no-show or no permit/license result in a loss of income to instructors and our driving school that cannot be recovered otherwise.
Please note that all packages expire one year from the date of purchase. This policy applies uniformly across all packages, ensuring that customers are aware of the timeframe in which they can utilize the services included. Be sure to keep track of your purchase date to maximize the benefits of your package before it expires.

Time Slots for Driving Lessons
Driving lessons on Monday to Friday are typically from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM, and 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
Driving lessons on the weekends are typically from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM, and 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

Final Evaluation as Part of the Green Light Package or Extra Mile Package
As an authorized Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) Motor Vehicles Division (MVD) contractor, Cantor’s Driving School can administer the Final Evaluation instead of students taking the road test at the ADOT MVD. A Final Evaluation can only be given after at least 10 hours of behind-the-wheel driver training with an ADOT MVD approved driving school.
The driving trainer determines if the student is qualified and possesses the necessary driving skills to pass the evaluation. Upon demonstrating adequate driver independence, and successful completion of our Final Evaluation, the student receives a Training Completion Certificate (TCC), also called a Road Test Waiver. This TCC can be presented with an application for an Arizona driver’s license to waive the Road Test at any MVD or Third Party Provider location. Successful completion of our 10 hours of driving lessons and a passing score on the road skills evaluation is required before an ADOT MVD Road Test Waiver will be issued.
It is the student’s responsibility to go to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) to have the TCC (Road Test Waiver) processed and get his/her driver’s license. View the ADOT MVD locations and hours to select a location.
